My high school photography teacher, Mr. Fallon, once told me that there is no such thing as a “bad” photo, or a “right or wrong” photo. Every photo has value because it represents my own interpretation of that image in that moment in time. This idea opened my eyes to all of the amazing possibilities that exist in capturing still images and encouraged me to approach my photography as an art form without fear. I hope that my portfolio expresses that openness and excitement to you!

PHOTOGRAPHER

Oswaldo was born in Texcoco, Mexico, a town located outside of Mexico City. His passion for street photography is inspired by childhood memories of playing street soccer with his neighborhood friends and traveling around the capital via public transport in his Abuelo Nico’s classic 1964 VW Beetle.

Immigrating to the South Bay of Los Angeles at age 10, his metropolitan environment drastically changed from busy city vibes to California beach waves.

His love for capturing the still image began in his High School intro photography class with an Olympus OM10 in hand. At the time, his only real experience was taking family photos for special occasions. In 2007, Oswaldo earned a Certificate of Proficiency as a Photographer’s Assistant from the Southern California Regional Occupational Center.

When he’s not on a mission to catch the perfect sunset shot, he enjoys shooting a wide variety of photographic genres. From landscapes and portraits to product and fashion photography, his curiosities are extensive. He has a particular interest in candid and action photography, in “capturing time as-is.”

Oswaldo currently resides in Gardena, CA with his girlfriend and dogs, DeeDee and Sandee. He spends his free time playing soccer, futsal, NBA 2K and Fortnite. He’s an avid Dragon Ball fan, and the #1 LA Lakers Fan.

His ultimate goal as a photographer is to make professional shoots and projects more accessible to the widest variety of clientele. He hopes to provide a unique perspective and service to his community.
